Here's Another BBC Podcast You Might Want to Listen
I listen to a lot of BBC podcasts. I don't listen to all the episodes, but I do listen to a fair number of them. They are great. I am not sure exactly how these podcasts are funded -- license fee? government grants via British taxpayers? advertisements? -- but, thank you, Britons.
I do know that for me, in particular, it is likely advertisement plays a very small or even non-existent role in the funding. Because even though there is an announcement at the start of every episode that there will be advertisements for BBC programmes outside of the UK, and there are advertisement breaks inserted into podcast episodes, all I ever hear are advertisements of other BBC podcasts. These advertisements are repeated across multiple BBC podcasts that I listen. And, yes, this is my complaint: it gets rather repetitive and tedious and tiresome.
Please, BBC, please make more interesting and varied advertisements. These few days, I am going mad listening to the same advertisements about Asia Specific and You're Dead to Me.
