Don't Suffer for the Unknown
Suffering is something I thought about throughout my life. Certainly, it's not only me: all the religion in this world have some thoughts about suffering, for a start.
But personally, I didn't classify suffering by their usefulness, so this is something new to me. I probably have to ponder a lot more, because I don't find it easy to classify all the suffering I have in my head by their usefulness. (Thank goodness, except for the lousy eyeballs that I think I am born with, I don't have much suffering physically.)
What I find useful is to not suffer for the unknown. (Two people in my life has recently advised me exactly on the same thing, so perhaps I am not doing that great in this department lately.) Essentially, don't suffer for things that have not happened, and may not happen.
