Design Bug Wasted My Time In Rebooting and Whatnots
Marcin Wichary details how a redesign of the volume control interface for the iPhone sometimes caused music to become extremely loud all of a sudden.
I have encountered the same design bug multiple times too, but ln the reverse. All of a sudden, whatever audio that is playing seems to have stopped playing through my earphones.
The first time I encountered this, I thought my bluetooth earphones had lost the connection. I switched playback to the iPhone speakers and then back to the earphones. Still no sound. I rebooted the phone. Still no sound.
Finally I noticed what was wrong. Everything was connected properly. The audio app was also working fine. It was just that the volume has been turned off.
Yes, when putting my iPhone back to my pocket, I have accidentally hit the volume button, and swiped the on-screen volume interface to turn the volume off.
What a waste of my time, Apple.
